Level: Gentle for ALL levels
Restorative Yoga is a deeply healing and relaxing practice, a calming of body and mind, and an invitation to sink in to the present moment and let go of stress. In this very gentle and meditative style class the movements are slow and deliberate, and the stretches are passive. You will be guided into relaxation poses that are supported with blankets, blocks and pillows, allowing you to let go of deeper stress held in your muscles and joints.
Restorative yoga is a great complement to other more active yoga classes and exercises. However, as there is little movement in the class to warm you up, we suggest you wear comfortable clothing, in layers, including socks, to keep you warm and cozy throughout the practice. You will also get offerings of blankets tucked around you. Enjoy a real adult “nap time”, and leave feeling relaxed and soothed with a general sense of well-being.
In addition to our regular Friday night Restorative Hatha Yoga class, we also offer Restorative Workshops which are longer and often include Reiki and other relaxing offerings!Reserve a Space
